   This is the first issue of CRC news , aimed at any person who has interest in educational practice. This should be an educational as well as environmental update for you .CRC always have its eyes keep open ,to explore something significant to you . By this attempt the activities of CRC seems to cross the limits of a single campus and to extend over the global campus . Share your views, and contribute to CRC for a world of Peace and Harmony .

Educationals : The state of Kerala is passing through various experiments in the field of education. As a part of this experiments , a draft curriculum framework 2007 is constituted by SCERT Kerala. It is the need of the state that you should go through the material and to comment on it , for a better education scenario of tomorrow .
Another landmark in the history of education of our state is the Kerala State Higher Education Council(KSHEC), which will be a body to realize uniformity throughout higher education sector of the state . www.Kshec.Kerala.gov.in

Environmentals: Sasthamkotta the largest fresh water lake in Kerala starts its countdown according to a study by CWRDM.Kozhikode. Desertification, is it near or distant?
Diversion is under way for Nethravathi river – River linking projects are in progress in different parts of our country ….What will be the impact ? . As one among the millions of species on earth do we have right to violate flow of Nature ?
Fifty crores of rupees already spent for fever in Kerala stated by official sources.
Is it a product of our throw away culture ?
Climate change is the main concern among all the major countries .A music programme ‘Live Earth’ to create an awareness on impacts of climate change is on the move. What we can do in this direction ?

Investigationals: In all the exams including the final one ,marks are awarded not grades . Only students who score A+ in all subjects can boldly state about his result . What about the majority on a question – How’s your result ? I have ….A+…., A…., B+ and so on . Don’t they have right to say I have distinction , First class etc. ? Is there any thing wrong in saying so ? Do the students have any right to know their marks? . What are the advantages of assigning only grades .It is the time to investigate into this matter before the onset of next secondary & Higher secondary exams . We must prepare our children to fly as much distance as they can . An Opinion survey to realize students opinion on awarding only letter grades in their SSLC/HSE certificate, is a social need .

Medias: Medias ,especially the print media has undergone first level of revolution in its function in education by continuously publishing educational literature as collections ,articles , photographs , and soon . Most of the dailies and even some pure entertainers in the state are in very tough competition , which boosted in evolving the present media culture on education .In the second level , they have to focus on environmental issues . Who will win the race ? Let’s wait and watch . Apart from mere reporting of incidents some sort of maturity in presenting an analytical and predictive nature will surely be successful to realize the dream of education through media . The third level of development of media culture is its scaffolding of values and Peace . Miles to before I sleep , and miles
